Hi Gogs,

I`m so pleased you`ve got some answers, and a better plan as regards drugs - sometimes a cocktail such as the one you`re now on is the only answer, so hopefully you will get some much-needed relief.

Having just had my own batteries re-charged in sunny - yes, sunny! - Edinburgh, I hope you are well enough to go on holiday.

Take care,

Kathleen x

The spasms in the back are almost gone, the disc pain remains but nothing like it was.
My neck is particularly painful today, it might be the traction she put it in.

I go back to her on Monday so will see what she has to say.
These drugs are causing me to sleep nearly all day and all night!!!
I'm not high on them just half dead!!!RollEyes

My lovely consultant had contact me three times today - I flatter myself I must be specialBigGrin

Hi Gogs
Glad you are feeling a weeny bit better even if asleep!

I think it would be good to confirm often that you ARE special, as are we all!!

Part of a poem I once wrote says "You are a pearl of great worth" .....

hold on to that when you are feeling a bit low

Love Julie x

If it's any consolation you may become accustomed to the drugs a bit so that the fatigue lessens.

But I feel for you. Yesterday I got up at 9:45 after a full night's sleep, went back at 12:45 for 2 hours then fell asleep on the sofa for another 2 hours in the afternoon. Went to bed at 10:00 and slept all night.

The problem is that the disease itself causes fatigue. Lump all the drowsy making drugs on top and you could sleep for England couldn't you?

Once you get established you may find a sleep pattern that works for you without being comatose all day! It did for me.

My family understand my sleep needs now - and that helps. I used to find myself apologising all the time and then getting told off for apologising.Smile

Hexham - Northumberland - Loads of spectacular walks - all I need now are the joints to go with them! :)
